Moving with AwarenessTM involves the coordination of specific postures and motions that bring a stronger connection between the mind and the body. Founded by Adam Williss, it also focuses on developing and balancing the inherent energy of the Chinese acupuncture system.These specific types of exercises, commonly referred to as Qigong or Chi Kung, are found in the Chinese "internal martial arts" such as Tai Chi and Shaolin Kung Fu. Adam's Wing Chun incorporates these Chinese internal exercises in more descrete way.
Taking these often hidden internal exercises from his studies in Wing Chun and other martial arts, Adam has put them in a specifically focused format aimed at restoring optimum posture. Much like braces straighten crooked teeth, Awareness through MovementTM adjusts your muscles and ligaments to their ideal length and tension. Your organs assume their ideal pressure and temperature. Your nervous system relaxes and you begin to accrue reserves of energy, all leading to a more relaxed and healthier mind and body. Other exercises cannot restore, balance or build your energy levels.
